According to the lawyer Ilya Novikov, who defended in court the Ukrainian pilots Hope Savchenko, in the coming days, he expects the emergence of “good news” about the defendant, but the details refused to tell.
“There is information that I can disclose, but it also comes down to the fact that good news can come in one of the next days. We hope it will be sooner rather than later,” said he in the night from Friday to Saturday on air of TV channel “inter” (quoted by “Interfax”).
The lawyer also said that Savchenko, which he visited, there are already signs of dehydration. “The skin is very dry and begin to turn white mucous membranes, gums, tongue,” said Novikov. He recalled that it keeps dry hunger strike for the third day. The lawyer also said that “the head of the colony warned her that soon it will begin to force feed”. Savchenko, according to Novikov, intends to prevent force-feeding.
“Still negotiations going on between Moscow and Kiev, and say carefully that they are likely to move in the right direction, albeit slower than we would like. And next week we are waiting for some fundamental news,” said Novikov.
