As said the Agency “RIA Novosti” Deputy Chairman of the Board “Gazprom” Valery Golubev, Russia supplies Belarus gas at a price of production, to which is added the cost of transportation. “They wanted the price, as in Russia, plus transport. Today Belarusian colleagues say no, we want to make it different. Well, you have to be consistent,” – said the representative of the gas company.
According to Golubev, currently the price for Belarus is 132 dollars per thousand cubic meters. For Armenia taking into account the transport costs the price of Russian gas is $ 150. “They, too, can claim revision of rates. And the cost of our who will compensate?” he asked.
1 April, Prime Minister of Belarus Kobyakov in interview to Agency “RIA Novosti” stated that the price of Russian gas for Belarus should be $ 80 per thousand cubic meters. He explained that gas for the country in dollars is almost not dropped, despite the weakening of the Russian ruble
“As for natural gas, its price in early 2014 was $165 per thousand cubic meters. It was when the Russian ruble 32-33 per dollar. On January 1, 2015 the price for gas was $142. The dollar was worth more than 60 Russian rubles. It is logical that gas should cost about $80 and us $142”, said Kobyakov.
