President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will dissolve Parliament, if this week will not be formed a coalition and a new government of the country. This was announced on Monday, 11 April, the representative of the Ukrainian President in Parliament Stepan Kubiv at a meeting of the conciliatory Council of faction leaders, committees and groups of the Parliament, reports “Interfax”.
“The political crisis is a question of days and hours. President Petro Poroshenko noted that this week the Parliament should get a new government, a new coalition, which will be focused on reform, the implementation of the Association agreement with the EU, cooperation with the International monetary Fund, the fight against corruption. Otherwise Parliament will be dissolved,” — said Kubiv.
According to him, Poroshenko also insisted on expedited review by the Ukrainian Parliament of the judicial reform, which will include, among other things, the removal of immunity of judges and amending the Constitution. In addition, according to Kubiv, Poroshenko insists on the amendments to the main law of the country that are associated with decentralization, the adoption of the five-year programme budget policy and unchanged tax legislation.
According to Kubiv, Poroshenko will make the Parliament a candidate for the office of Prime Minister immediately after receiving the respective proposal to the coalition.
On the eve of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk resigned. During his speech on the channel “TV Espresso” he said that to make the decision it prompted a political crisis in Ukraine. According to Yatsenyuk, he did everything for the stability of the country, but the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko nominated for the post of head of the government Volodymyr Groysman. “In these circumstances, resign their powers,” he said.
