State Duma Deputy from the LDPR Maxim Shingarkin introduced a bill increasing excise taxes on tobacco, whereby the average cost of one bundle in 2018 will increase to 178 rubles a Document posted on the website of the state Duma.

In the explanatory note to the draft estimates, according to which after the increase of excise taxes average retail price per pack in 2017 is expected to grow to 127 rubles, and in 2018 — to 178 rubles in 2016, she is at 95 rubles.

The increase in excise duties to 70% of the price of the bundle “is able to save the lives of more than 200 thousand Russians annually and bring to the Russian budget over $ 1 trillion. rubles annually,” adds the MP. Earlier the Deputy from LDPR Dmitry Nosov has prepared a bill banning the sale of tobacco and cigarettes from 08:00 to 23:00.
