The Pechersky court of Kiev issued a warrant for the arrest of the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov. This is stated in the message of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. It notes that the arrest Aksyonov petitioned the Prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea within the framework of earlier instituted in Ukraine criminal case concerning the transfer of the property of children’s camp “Artek” in the property of Russia.
The statement says that Aksenov charged with abuse of authority, illegal, according to the Prosecutor’s office, the government body — the “Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea”, as well as the transfer of the ownership of the Russian Federation the property belonging to the state enterprise of Ukraine (PGO) “international children’s center “Artek”.
“The results of the principled position of law enforcement bodies of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the resolution of the Pechersky court of Kiev granted permission for the arrest of a suspect in the above criminal proceedings, Sergey Aksenov with the purpose of his drive to participate in the consideration of the petition for application of a measure of restraint in form of detention”, — is spoken in the message of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s office.
In addition, the decision of the Obolon district court of Kyiv seized property of the international children’s center “Artek”, the report says. The total amount incurred by Ukraine of losses from transmission of Artek Russia is estimated at more than 242 million UAH, is spoken in the message of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Aksenov said that the decision of the Ukrainian court about his arrest “political insanity”. “The country is falling apart, and they live in a parallel reality. The head of the Crimea also offered Kiev to try to enforce the judgment. “If the Kiev court decided to detain me and arrest, then let him try to execute his decision. What’s the problem? Address know forth to execution!”, — wrote Aksenov in his Twitter.

The Ukrainian authorities do not recognize the Russian Crimea, considering it to be temporarily occupied. Previously Kiev initiated criminal proceedings against a number of leaders of Crimea. So, besides Aksenov, Ukraine also opened a case against the Prosecutor of the Crimea Natalia Polonskaya. She is charged with “committing actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power”.
