The coalition in the Parliament by absolute majority confirmed the candidacy of current speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Vladimir Groisman on the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine. This was reported in his Twitter spokesman, Dmitry Stolyarchuk.
“The coalition is only that an absolute majority supported the candidacy of Groisman to the post of Prime Minister,” he wrote on Twitter.
Stolyarchuk added that another vote coalition an absolute majority supported the agreed composition of the new government.
In turn, the Deputy head of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” Alexey Goncharenko in his Facebook said that the submission of the nomination of Groysman in the premiere will be sent to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“The coalition has put forward, the candidate for premieres and makes a corresponding submission to the President,” he wrote.
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the Prime Minister is appointed by the Verkhovna Rada upon nomination by the President. That in turn makes candidate for Prime Minister on the proposal of coalition of Deputy factions in the Verkhovna Rada.
Goncharenko added that the coalition also supported the candidacy of the Deputy speaker of the Rada Andrew Parubiy in the speakers of Parliament.
