Poroshenko submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a resolution on the appointment of the Prime Minister Groysman


President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution on the appointment of the Prime Minister, current speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Vladimir Groisman. This was reported on the Council website.

The project was registered on April 14. In addition, Poroshenko submitted the draft assignment of two Ukrainian Ministers: Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.

The night before Groisman declared their consent to take charge of the Ukrainian government, although, as reported by Ukrainian media, repeatedly refused the post. “I know that the responsibility of the government is huge, and catastrophic challenges. But if there is your support, the support of the citizens of Ukraine, we will do everything to bring the crisis in which it is located,” — said Groisman in the video. Politician’s press-Secretary Dmitry Stolyarchuk said that he was able to agree on almost all positions on the formation of the new Cabinet.

Current Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on April 10 announced his resignation. The reason for this decision he called a political crisis in the country.
