On Thursday Ukraine had been resolved the political crisis associated with the work of the government. The Verkhovna Rada approved a new Prime Minister and new government. The previous government worked led by Arseniy Yatsenyuk from the end of 2014, resigned. The Parliament also (after four tries) approved the programme of the new government, which gave the Cabinet of Ministers immunity for a year. During this time Parliament can initiate the dismissal of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.
Tasks for the Groisman
38-year-old Vladimir Groisman became the youngest Prime Minister of the country. “Groysman is the politician of new generation” — described by President Petro Poroshenko, speaking in Parliament. According to him, Groisman was one of the best mayors of regional centers with a record level of support among citizens, top-Manager of the decentralization reforms in the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of regional development.
From 2006 to 2014, Groysman was the mayor of Vinnitsa, after the Euromaidan became the Minister of regional development, and after the elections Parliament 2014 — its Chairman.
The new government must steadily pursue the policy of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, to work on improving the investment climate, the Central part of this work should be to combat corruption, set tasks for Poroshenko. The President stressed that these goals are not at odds, and continue the priorities of the previous government.
The President, and then Groysman one of the priorities called for the strengthening of national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the country. “I want to make clear its position: we will never recognize that part of our land, which was cut off in the living, no longer belongs to Ukraine”, — said the Prime Minister. The new government has retained nine Ministers, 14 people were newcomers. Will work six Deputy Prime Ministers instead of two in the past.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Affairs of the occupied territories and displaced persons was Vladimir Kistion, former Deputy mayor Groisman in Vinnytsya, and recently worked as the Deputy chief of staff of the Verkhovna Rada. Minister on the same issue was Vadim Chernysh. Also in the government, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. This post was taken by a member of Parliament, Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze from “Blok Petro Poroshenko”.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of economic development became Stepan Kubiv (MP, representative of the President in the Verkhovna Rada), who worked in the previous government. He was replaced by a Lithuanian Aivaras of Abromavicius that claimed previously about wanting to leave the government of Yatsenyuk.
Three Vice-premiers moved from the previous government. The new government has not entered any one of the Ministers-foreigners invited to work in the previous year.
The team, in addition to Questiona the government will work to: Alexander Sayenko — Minister of the Cabinet (until then head of the Secretariat of the speaker) and Andrew Bray — on a post of the Minister of social policy (prior to this, Deputy mayor of Vinnitsa).
The Ministry of Finance is Natalie Jaresko headed by Oleksandr danylyuk. He was adviser to ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, in September 2010 he headed the Coordinating center for implementation of economic reforms in July 2014 he was appointed presidential representative in the Cabinet. In September 2015 Poroshenko has appointed his Deputy chief of staff.
Replaced the Minister of culture: this post is back Yevhen Nyshchuk, who held it in the first Yatsenyuk government after the Euromaidan.
Their positions in the Cabinet of Ministers has kept the representatives of “Popular front” Yatsenyuk. Arsen Avakov will continue to lead the Ministry of internal Affairs, Pavel Petrenko, the Ministry of justice, Ihor Zhdanov — Minister of sport. Also “popular front” in the present government Ostap Semerak, who became the Minister of ecology and natural resources, the Minister of education Liliya Hrynevych and Vyacheslav Kirilenko, the Vice Prime Minister on humanitarian issues (only six people).
The remaining positions were occupied by representatives of the “Block of Petro Poroshenko”. The composition of the government reflects a temporary consensus, which managed to achieve political forces, and under external pressure, says Ukrainian political analyst Andrei Busarov. The expert does not exclude that will be followed by early elections.
