The Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the Ukrainian government


The Verkhovna Rada approved the composition of the new Ukrainian government, which was agreed upon at a coalition meeting yesterday and presented the newly appointed Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at the morning plenary session, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”. The resolution on the new composition of the Cabinet was supported by 239 deputies.

Vacant only the position of the head of the Ministry of health. Candidacy was not agreed during the consultations.

The first Vice Prime Minister-Minister of economic development and trade approved by the MP of Ukraine, President’s representative in Parliament Stepan Kubiv. Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration became the first Deputy head of the parliamentary foreign Affairs Committee Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze. Deputy Prime Minister for social policy Minister for social policy Pavlo Rozenko. Deputy Prime Minister on the occupied territories and internally displaced persons, ex — first Deputy Minister of housing and communal services Vladimir Kistion.

Before it became known that Ukraine will appear the Ministry of the occupied territories.

In the new structure retained the position of Vice Prime Minister of housing and communal services Gennady Zubko. Deputy Prime Minister also remained and Vyacheslav Kirilenko, who served as Deputy Prime Minister-the Minister of culture. Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers approved by the head of the Secretariat of the speaker of the Parliament Oleksandr Saenko.

The Minister of Finance appointed the Deputy head of the presidential administration Alexander danyluk, Minister of social policy — Vice mayor of Vinnitsa Andrew Bray, the Ministers of environment and natural resources — the first Deputy head of the parliamentary Committee on European integration of Ukraine Ostap Semerak, the Minister of culture, honoured artist of Ukraine Yevhen Nischuk.

Minister of education and science became the head of the parliamentary Committee Lilia Hrynevych, the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine — the head of Committee of the Verkhovna rad on agrarian policy and land relations of Taras kutovyi. The Minister for occupied territories and internally displaced persons appointed Vadym Chernysh, Minister of energy and coal industry — Igor Nasalik.

Their positions remained the head of the defense Ministry, foreign Ministry, interior Ministry, Ministry of justice, Ministry of informational policy and the Ministry of youth and sports — Stepan Poltorak, Pavel Klimkin, Arsen Avakov, Pavlo Petrenko, Yuriy stets, Igor Zhdanov. On a post of the Minister of infrastructure approved now the acting head of the Department Volodymyr Omelyan.

Previously approved the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister. Supported the decision of the 257 deputies out of 390. The vote was a “batch” — one ruling, the Parliament dismissed the former President of the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and reversed its February decision declaring the work of his Cabinet unsatisfactory.

On Thursday Poroshenko, speaking in Parliament, voiced the main challenges facing the new government. “Strengthening the defense capacity of the country, the restoration of the Donbass, his return to civilian life — among the main tasks of the new government of Ukraine”, — said the head of state.

He also said that it expects the new Cabinet’s economic growth, improve the welfare of Ukrainian citizens and continue the fight against corruption. According to Poroshenko, the government will continue the European integration course of the country. Poroshenko also noted that he expected the Ministerial policy of “attenuation zones”. The Ukrainian leader expressed the view that Kiev time to move “from survival strategy to a strategy of accelerated development”.
