The appointment of the Chairman of the Parliament Vladimir Groisman as Prime Minister was supported by 257 deputies out of 390 votes. The vote was “batch”: one resolution, the Parliament dismissed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and reversed its decision on the recognition of the government of Yatsenyuk unsatisfactory, which was adopted in February.
President Petro Poroshenko Groysman congratulated on his election and presented him with a bouquet of red roses.
Groysman in his brief speech, thanked the deputies, promised that his government will work on the implementation of the reforms. He said that the work in Parliament for one and a half years was for him a great lesson.
Some deputies oppose Groisman and chanted “shame” during his performances. “I’m emotionally stable man, you can scream anything, but my determination will not change it,” — said Groisman them.
One of the priorities of work Groysman promised to make the adoption of laws that would lead to the abolition of visas between Ukraine and the EU.
Before the vote, the head of the faction Block Petro Poroshenko Yuriy Lutsenko said that the coalition has in Parliament — 235 members, including 227 from the Block of Petro Poroshenko and people’s front. Thus, the Constitution respected, said Lutsenko.
The leader of Radical party Oleg Lyashko after election, again made the assertion that the coalition is not. He provided information on the voting for the premiere of the fractions, which suggests that PPO from the Prime Minister voted for less MPs than is in a faction.
