Poroshenko has dismissed the commander of the naval forces of Ukraine


Commander of naval forces of armed forces of Ukraine Sergey Haiduk fired. The corresponding decree was signed by President Petro Poroshenko, said in a statement on its website.

Gaiduk was the head of the Ukrainian Navy from March 2014.

About the reasons for the decision of the President is not informed, transfers “UKRINFORM”.

Gaiduk became acting commander of the Ukrainian Navy on March 2, 2014, and March 7 of the same year took over as commander.

Friday was dismissed by the Prosecutor of Odessa region Nikolay Stoyanov. On 11 April, the Governor of the region Mikhail Saakashvili made an appeal to President Poroshenko and among other things said about the necessity of Stoyanov’s dismissal, calling him a “separatist”.
