He noted that the regions themselves should decide whether to raise rates and how much (the improvement can reach 10%).
“But the Governor has the right to make this decision (maximum increase) only in consultation with the municipal deputies and only if the sphere of housing and communal services of the region in need of additional funding,” – said the President.
According to Putin, from 24 thousand municipalities throughout the country only 600 made a decision to increase tariffs by more than four percent.
He noted that it is necessary to think about the income and the needs of the industry, Recalling that last year the average tariff increase of 8.7%.
Putin also reminded that if payment for communal services exceed 22% of total family income, the citizen has the right to receive compensation.
