The head of the Subcommittee of the U.S. house of representatives on the Middle East and North Africa, a Republican Ileana ROS-Lehtinen and high-ranking member of the Committee on foreign relations of the Democratic party Eliot Engel Friday introduced a resolution which urged the White house to put pressure on the Russian authorities to bring to justice those responsible for the killing of Boris Nemtsov in February 2015. They also urge President Barack Obama to significantly strengthen the support of Russian democratic organizations and civil society, “supporting the idea that Boris Efimovich Nemtsov gave his life”.
