Lefortovo court of Moscow satisfied the request of the investigation and issued a warrant for the arrest of the chief restorer of the Ministry of culture Boris Zaharieva, who was earlier arrested on charges of embezzlement of funds of the Ministry. It is reported RIA Novosti citing a source close to the investigation.
“The court satisfied the petition of the FSB Tsagaraeva on election of a measure of restraint in form of detention,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
Earlier on Friday April 22, the interlocutor of “Interfax” said the head of fsbi “Directorate on construction, reconstruction and restoration” of the Ministry of culture Tsagaraev detained within investigation of criminal case about large plunders in the Ministry. However, he did not specify what exactly the charge against the official.
On 20 April the Lefortovsky court of Moscow upheld the arrest of property the Deputy Minister of culture of Russia Grigory Pirumov. A press-the court Secretary Ekaterina Krasnova noted that the arrest was effected within the framework of preliminary investigation of criminal case concerning the Deputy Minister of embezzlement of state funds that were allocated for restoration of objects of cultural heritage.
The investigation suggests that Pirumov, is the organizer of the criminal group. He himself of his guilt at trial was not recognized. According to investigators, in 2015, the criminal group has made the conclusion of contracts with state-controlled company ZAO “Stroifaza” for the restoration of Novodevichy convent. The total amount of contracts amounted to 127 million rubles.
