The former Director of the Ussuri CJSC “Pacific bridge construction company (TMK), Igor Nesterenko, whose workers complained from the construction site of the Vostochny space centre in the arrears, was sentenced to three years and three months of imprisonment in a General regime colony. This was reported on the website of the Department of the TFR in the Primorsky territory.
As noted in the message, criminal case is considered a special order. Nesterenko was found guilty under part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code (fraud).
The court found that from 8 September 2014 to 19 April 2015 Nesterenko, together with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TMK Sergey Yudin stole nearly 104,5 million rubles from the enterprise. As they say in the message of the RCDS, the defendants withdrawal of funds in one-day firms, and the stolen money was disposed of at their discretion.
However, as reported by “RIA Novosti” a source close to the investigation, on charges of embezzlement during the construction of the cosmodrome East detained two of the defendants. They are suspected of committing commercial bribery, said a spokesman, adding that the detainees were taken on the construction management positions.
“Today the consequence intends to leave in court with the petition for custody of detainees in custody,” added the source.
Igor Nesterenko was arrested in April 2015, on suspicion of nonpayment of wages to workers and fraud. In connection with the activities of TMK also investigated two criminal cases, one of which was filed in connection with the failure of works on construction of the Vostochny space centre. From the company demanded to pay debt worth more than 1 billion rubles.
At the end of July last year, Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika said that during the inspections of the Prosecutor’s office on the construction of the Vostochny space centre revealed the facts of embezzlement of 7.5 billion rubles.
