In Ukraine came to search in the largest gas producing company

At the head office of the company “Ukrgazvydobuvannia” (“Ukrgasdobycha”, GWL, the largest Ukrainian producer of natural gas and gas condensate) is being searched. According to the company, the seizure of documents is carried out by officers of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

“The work of the head office paralyzed men armed with machine guns in balaclavas which were presented by employees of SBU. In the building no one is allowed and not allowed, entry is blocked. According to unconfirmed information, seize documents for 2014-2016 and the personal files of the employees. Communications and the Internet blocked,” — said on the company’s page in Facebook.

In turn, the head of the Board of GWL Oleg Prokhorenko during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine said that the searches in the company are held by employees of special forces “alpha”.

“There are about 50 people from the SBU, “alpha”, mask-show, and so on,” said Prokhorenko (quoted by “channel 5”).

Speaking at a government meeting, Prokhorenko, who led the GWL in June 2015, also said that in previous years the company displayed annually 2-3 billion hryvnia.

“The company was chronically corrupt. According to our calculations, the amount of corruption was 2-3 billion hryvnia per year. This amount of money, which was washed out from the company. Primarily because of purchases at inflated prices,” said Prokhorenko.

On the website of the company published a statement saying that the company was “targeted corrupt officials and opponents of Ukraine’s energy independence”. Earlier, the management of the subsidiary denied allegations that the company allegedly controlled by the Russian intelligence services, and its privatization is being prepared in the interests of Russia.

Currently 100% of shares of “Ukrgasdobycha” is owned by “Naftogaz of Ukraine”. The company is developing gas, oil and gas and oil and gas deposits in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian and Volyn regions of Ukraine.

In 2015 the enterprises of the company produced 14,528 billion cubic meters of gas, which accounted for 75% of the produced gas in Ukraine (19.9 billion cubic meters). Compared to the previous year, the volume of gas production groundwater table declined by 4% due to loss of control over assets located in the East of Ukraine, as well as a significant shortage of funds for exploration and development of new fields.
