British Typhoon fighters taking off from the Estonian Amari airbase, have intercepted three Russian military transport plane, which was approaching the territory of the Baltic countries. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of defence of the United Kingdom.
Specifically, the Russian aircraft, identified as an-26, An-12 and Il-76, were intercepted because they did not respond to requests by radio or transmitted identification code.
“We were able immediately to respond to this act of aggression by Russia”, — are reported by the British Ministry of defense the words of Minister Michael Fallon. He also stressed that the British military has demonstrated “commitment to collective defence of NATO.”
