Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov called the “new phenomenon” statement, British Prime Minister David Cameron that Vladimir Putin will welcome a British exit from the EU. “We have become accustomed to the fact that the Russian factor is one such sustainable tools in the electoral campaign, but for us, a new element is the use of the Russian factor or factor of President Putin in the subject Brexit, this is a new phenomenon,” — said Peskov (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

This Peskov recalled that Putin “has repeatedly talked about our interest in building good, collaborative, and mutually beneficial relations with the EU as a whole, as an organization, Association, or separately”.

A referendum on British exit from the EU will be held June 23. Eve in the country are the fierce debate between opponents and supporters of exit. Earlier, the British Cabinet hinted at the fact that I am ready for Brexit, however, in February, agreements were reached that imply a special status of great Britain in the Union. Now Cameron is campaigning in favour of keeping the country in the EU.
