Putin raised the retirement age for officials


The President of Russia signed the law on raising the retirement age for officials. The document is available on the official portal of legal information. The retirement age of officials, according to the law, will rise gradually and will be for men 65 years and for women 63.

Currently, the early retire at 60 years, the second — in 55 years. The Federation Council approved a bill to raise the retirement age for officials on may 18.

The question here is how on state civil servants, municipal employees and those who occupy state positions, state positions in the regions and municipal offices.

In addition, the law provides for a gradual increase in the minimum length of service of the civil service, giving the right to pension for years of service and determination of its size, with 15 to 20 years. This assumes a smooth transition every year for six months.

The law will come into force on 1 January 2017.
