Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev took disciplinary action with his assistant — former head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko. The corresponding decree was published on 24 may on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“To remove Onishchenko Gennady Grigorevich, assistant to the Chairman of the government of the Russian Federation, D. A. Medvedev, previously imposed in accordance with the decree of the RF government dated 24 February 2016 No. 284-R disciplinary action”, — stated in the decree Medvedev.
On 26 February this year, Medvedev reprimanded Onishchenko in connection with the violation of requirements of law on civil service. It was about the failure to observe the rules of public speaking, said the government statement. What statements Onishchenko became the reason for the reprimand was not formally specified. Press Secretary, Natalya Timakova, and he Onishchenko did not comment on this topic.
Assistant of the Prime Minister Onishchenko began in October 2013 immediately after the resignation from the post of the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
