Putin responded to words Poroshenko about the return of Donbass and Crimea

Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to the statement of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko about the return of the Donbass and Crimea “following” for the Ukrainian aviatrix Nadezhda Savchenko. The question of the Donbas can be solved and eliminated in accordance with the Minsk agreements, said the Russian President.

“It is necessary to amend the Constitution of Ukraine, to carry out decentralization, <…> it is necessary to adopt a law on Amnesty. You cannot postpone these decisions,” Putin said at a press conference following talks with Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras.

“As for Crimea, this question, we believe, is closed completely,” — said Putin. He noted that the historic decision of the people living in Crimea, and “in any discussion on this issue,” Russia does not intend to join.

The President noted that it comes to mind the famous saying. “God give your calves our the wolf to eat”, — concluded Putin.

Previously, on 25 may, after the return of the Ukrainian pilots Hope Savchenko in Ukraine Petro Poroshenko promised to return Donbass and Crimea, “as we have restored Hope”. “We tried to change it on may 18 and 20. This is our joint victory <…> As we returned Hope, we will refund the Donbass and the Crimea”, — said Poroshenko.

Later in the Kremlin expressed support for Poroshenko’s words about the return of the Donbass, if they are dictated by considerations of humanity.

“If he meant that he intended to return the Donbass, guided by considerations of humanity, then this statement can be supported. And, in fact, is what we can hope for in Moscow”, — said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov. He also added that “in parts of the Crimea” “claims to Russian regions,” the Kremlin has not commented.
