The members of the Organization of countries — exporters of oil (OPEC) summit in Vienna on Thursday decided to keep its policy on oil production, reported Reuters citing a source in one of the delegations. According to the interlocutor of the Agency, this means that the organization are unable to agree on a new ceiling on production levels.
That OPEC countries are unable to agree on the limit of mining, also said the Agency Bloomberg with reference to the member of one delegation at the talks.
At the OPEC summit, it was decided that the new Secretary General of the organization will be the candidate from Nigeria Barkindo Mohammed, told Reuters two participants in the negotiations. This post also claimed Mahendra Siregar from Indonesia and Ali Rodriguez of Venezuela.
