VTB24 has submitted the claim about bankruptcy of co-owner Vneshprombank

VTB24 Bank has submitted the claim about a recognition the bankrupt former President and co-owner of Vneshprombank Larisa Markus, the newspaper “Vedomosti”. As follows from the materials in the files of arbitration cases, the application was filed in April, on July 5 for a hearing to test its validity.

In addition, on may 16 in the Meshchansky district court of Moscow has registered a claim of VTB24 in the category of “recovery amounts under the loan agreement, the credit agreement”. Defendants as the business card, three – “Marcus L. I., Marcus, L. A., G. I. Begimov”. As specify “sheets”, this is Larisa Markus, her husband, Marcus Lazarus and her brother George Bejanov, who is also the co-owners of Vneshprombank.

The representative of “VTB 24” told the newspaper that before the judgment to give any comments prematurely.

Larissa Markus was arrested on charges of fraud in December 2015. Not long before, had Russia encountered difficulties and was disabled from system of Bank electronic urgent payments. On 18 December, the Bank appointed a temporary administration.

Brother Marcus and shareholder Vneshprombank George Bidjamov soon stopped communicating. In late December, Forbes with reference to sources reported that Bidjamov located in Monaco and may ask for political asylum in one of the countries of Europe. In Russia, Bidjamov arrested in absentia in Russia on charges of involvement in fraudulent transactions and declared in the international search. In may, the General Prosecutor’s office sent to Monaco extradition request Begimova.

In January, the Central Bank revoked the license of Vneshprombank. On 11 March, the Moscow arbitration court recognized Vneshprombank bankrupt. According to the Bank, a hole in the capital of Vneshprombank exceeded 210 billion rubles.
