The Russian Sergeant Andrey Timoshenkov was killed in Syria, having received severe wounds in the bombing-driven bomber of a car, reported the Ministry of defense.
According to the Ministry Timoshenkov guarded convoy of the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria. On 15 June he was “prevented a breakthrough, a vehicle loaded with explosives to the place of delivery of humanitarian assistance to the civilian population by opening fire on a suicide bomber managed car. With the explosion of the car the Sergeant received severe wounds from which he died the next day.
He was posthumously presented to the state award.
Informed about the death Timoshenkova with reference to his relatives and co-workers reported the Kaliningrad news site Klops.<url>. According to the publication, Timoshenkov was a marine and took service under the contract. He is survived by his wife and little daughter. Tymoshenko became the eleventh Russian soldiers who served in Syria, whose death was formally confirmed by the Ministry of defense.
