New meeting in “Norman format” could take place in early July before the NATO summit. This writes the German Stuttgarter Zeitung, citing sources in the German government.

“We strive to ensure the timely creation of a new edition of the Minsk summit,” said the newspaper in government circles. Talking about the four-party meeting, which should take part German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of France Francois Hollande and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

According to the newspaper, a preparatory meeting with the participation of representatives of all four States last week. Ideally the meeting should take place before the NATO summit, which will be held in Warsaw on 8-9 July to reduce the stress, notes the edition.

In the German foreign Ministry confirmed the holding of the last week meeting with representatives from Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine, reports Die Welt.
