Reuters, citing its sources wrote that “Iskander” can be placed in the Kaliningrad region by 2019. “I think that the Kremlin will formally make a decision to place “Iskander” in Kaliningrad until 2018 or 2019, when it begins to operate the missile defense elements in Poland”, — told Reuters the Reels.
According to Barabanov, “Iskander”, which will be deployed in Kaliningrad will not be equipped with missiles with nuclear warheads, but the Russian side “if necessary” can take this step.
