The Prosecutor General of Ukraine was summoned for questioning Aksenov and Poklonsky


The state office of public Prosecutor of Ukraine (GPU) were summoned for questioning of the heads of government of the Crimea, including the head and the Prosecutor of the Republic Sergey Aksenov and Natalia Polonskaya. This is stated in the agenda published in the newspaper “Governmental courier” on Thursday.

In addition, the agenda indicated, in particular, the interior Minister of Crimea Sergey Abisov and former head of the legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly. They are ordered to come to the senior investigator in the police Department of the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine for interrogation as suspects in criminal proceedings № 12014010790000081. The interrogation is scheduled for June 29. Other details are unknown.

In April the Pechersky court of Kiev has satisfied the petition of the GPU and issued a warrant for the arrest of Aksyonov. The decision was made in connection with the initiated in Ukraine criminal case on the fact of transfer Aksenov Russia, the assets of the children’s camp “Artek” in the Crimea. Aksenov called the ruling a “political insanity”.

Filed in the Ukraine and against Poklonskaya. It is charged with “committing actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power.”

In March 2014 referendum in Crimea, the vast majority of the participants voted for joining the Peninsula to Russia. Immediately after this was signed the Treaty on admitting Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia as subjects. Ukrainian authorities and Western countries have called the annexation of Crimea “annexation”. They do not recognize the Peninsula Russian, considering it to be temporarily occupied.
