Surgutneftegaz has no plans to participate in privatization of oil companies “Rosneft” and “Bashneft”. About this informed the head “Surgutneftegaz” Vladimir Bogdanov, reports “Interfax”.
“We have nothing, we have everything”, — he answered a question about the company’s intention to participate in privatisation “Rosneft”. Earlier on Wednesday at the annual meeting of shareholders Bogdanov also said that Surgutneftegas is not interested in buying Bashneft. “We have our assets enough. There is no great interest”, — he explained.
The state owns of 50.08% of Bashneft, which is included in the privatization program. The privatization of 19.5% of shares of “Rosneft” is planned for the second half of 2016.
Earlier, Deutsche Bank analysts wrote that “Surgutneftegaz” may be the best candidate for the privatization of “Bashneft” because of loyalty to the state and availability of $35 billion in the accounts.
In may 2015 Bloomberg, citing close to the Kremlin sources reported that the funds “Surgutneftegaz” can go on the privatization of “Rosneft”, but it was denied and “Surgutneftegaz” and “Rosneft”.
