The Finance Ministry has decided not to prohibit the purchase for cash


Moscow. June 29. Authorities are not planning to limit purchases by cash, but the Finance Ministry is considering measures against “gray” salaries, said Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov during a speech in the Federation Council.

“Indeed, we discussed this issue in government, yet we do not plan any restrictions in walking, shopping through cash,” – said Siluanov.

“But on the other hand, we are now in the Ministry of Finance are working on the actions required to take in order to deal with “gray” wages, failure to pay taxes. I think that should be gradually done, but it’s not tomorrow, of course,” – said the Minister.

However, he noted that monitoring should not only revenues but also the expenses of citizens.

“We need to discuss and talk about controlling not only for income but for costs. Because if a person lives on welfare and has a large property complexes, expensive cars, the tax office shall be entitled to ask, by what sources it is acquired. This is done all over the world. In this direction we currently think and work, we will formulate proposals this autumn”, – said Siluanov.
