Turkish foreign Minister did not rule out meeting between Erdogan and Putin at the end of July


According to Turkish channel NTV, foreign Minister of Turkey mevlüt çavuşoğlu stated that the meeting of presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan could take place in late July – early August. He also said that he was invited to Antalya, Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

Earlier, Cavusoglu told reporters in Sochi that Putin and Erdogan agreed to meet at the G20 summit in China, however, the Turkish President has offered to hold talks before the trip to China. “We are working in this direction, we will carry out the necessary consultations at various levels for preparing such a meeting,” said Turkish Minister.

Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that the meeting of Putin and Erdogan may be held in August this year in Sochi. The meeting may be held earlier if the foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey at the meeting of ambassadors in Moscow will be able to negotiate.

Putin’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov did not rule out

that the heads of state decide to meet before the “twenty” in China, without specifying the venue of the talks.
