The beginning of July this year was celebrated in Russia a new surge in consumer prices. Per week (from June 28 to July 4) retail prices for goods and tariffs for services grew on average by 0.4%, according to Rosstat. Over the past eight weeks, inflation in Russia did not exceed 0.1%, down one and to zero.
The main reason for the jump in inflation was conducted from 1 July in several regions of the country, the increase in tariffs for housing and communal services. According to Rosstat, in the week the price of the “communal” increased the national average by 3.4 to 5.5%, while tariffs for heating increased by 3.4% to cold and hot water, 3.7 and 3.9%, electricity by 4.8%. The cost of Sewerage jumped by 5.5 per cent.
In Moscow the cost of a kilowatt-hour for residents, paying for electricity at a single tariff grew by 6.95% (from 5.03 RUB RUB to 5.38), in the Moscow region — by 5.95% (from 4.54 to 4.81 RUB RUB), in Saint-Petersburg — 7.3% (from 3.84 to 4.12 RUB RUB).
Rents in Russia on average for the week increased by 3.4%, fare in city buses, trams and trolleybuses — on 0,2-0,4%.
To stop the rise of inflation could not and lower prices for fruits and vegetables, fruits and vegetables on average fell by 1.5%. The prices for fresh tomatoes fell by 9.2%, while prices for cucumbers — by 8.1%. Simultaneously, 0.1-0.2% cheaper beef, pork, rice and millet.
At the same time over the past week the prices on cabbage grew by 4.1%, sugar rose by 1.7%, eggs and potatoes — 0.9%, buckwheat — by 0.7%, hens, frozen fish, butter, margarine, pasta, biscuits, caramel, apples, tea and salt — 0.2-0.4 percent.
Retail gasoline prices rose over the week by 0.3%, diesel went up at the pump — by 0.2%.
