During the meeting with the head of the U.S. Department of state John Kerry in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on help from Russia to release a U.S. citizen in Syria.
“President Obama drew my attention to the fact that we have assisted in the liberation of one of your citizens. I want to say that we, at your request, work on this direction in future”, — Putin said (quoted by “Interfax”).
The President stressed that Russia also expects that if necessary the U.S. will respond “the same constructive work.”
“Our last conversation with President (Barack) Obama convinces me that we are indeed genuinely committed not only to the collaborative process towards its establishment, but also to achieve results”, — said the Russian leader (quoted by TASS).
