The Turkish authorities ordered the arrest of 2.7 thousand judges and prosecutors

Turkish authorities demanded to hold 2745 thousand judges and prosecutors in connection with the attempt of a military coup, reports Reuters with reference to the channel NTV.

Earlier it was reported that 2.7 thousand Turkish judges have been dismissed throughout the country. In addition, because of the attempted coup were arrested 140 members of the Supreme court and ten representatives of the Council of State (Supreme administrative court), another 38 members of the Council wanted.

For his involvement in the coup attempt also arrested was the General of the army ADEM Huduti — he is the commander of the Second army, which was responsible for the security of Turkey’s borders with Syria, Iraq and Iran. Authorities also detained major-General Avni Angun, which is the garrison commander in Malatya, where the headquarters of the Second army.

Only in connection with the coup attempt, which occurred on the night of Saturday, Turkey were detained 2,8 thousand of the military, said the Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the ideologue of the rebellion, the Turkish writer, former Imam and preacher Fethullah Gulen, who lives in the United States. He urged us President Barack Obama to extradite him to Ankara. Gulen himself is his involvement in the coup attempt denied.
