Kerry rejected the claims of US involvement in the rebellion in Turkey

The Secretary of state John Kerry spoke by phone with Turkish foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and rejected allegations that the United States is involved in coup attempt in Turkey, Reuters reports with reference to the representative of the American Department, John Kirby.

“He [Kerry] made clear that the United States would assist the Turkish authorities in the investigation and that public insinuations and assertions about the US role in a failed coup attempt completely wrong and harmful to bilateral relations,” — said Kirby.

Kerry urged Turkey to be restrained and to respect the rule of law in the investigation of the conspiracy, said the representative of the state Department.
