The IOC refused to exclude the Russian team from the Olympics


The international Olympic Committee (IOC) decided to suspend the Russian team from participation in the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. The IOC Executive Board decided that the decision on admission to the Russian Olympics each athlete will adopt the relevant international Federation.

The decision of the Executive Committee of the Committee was announced by the head of the IOC Thomas Bach.

18 July the independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) has released the results of its investigations relating to the Olympic games in Sochi.
