Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has demanded from the authorities of the Crimea to report on how money is spent, allocated for the construction of roads on the Peninsula, and what is being done in the region in order to prevent theft. It came Monday, July 25, at a meeting in Sevastopol on the status and development of road infrastructure in the Crimea.
“This [road construction] work of the regional authorities. I would like to hear how things are going with the preparation of documentation on major projects, what technical solutions are laid, as they control the quality and turnaround time. And finally, what was done in order to prevent theft. Unfortunately, this also happens,” said Medvedev (quoted by TASS).
The Prime Minister said that the situation with the roads in the Crimea over the past decade was “breath-taking”. “You have a breath-taking situation, because it really 25 years no money in it,” — said Medvedev.
