The Prosecutor’s office demanded that the “Echo” decrypt Shenderovich and Radzihovsky


The Prosecutor’s office has requested transcripts of the programs of “echo of Moscow” journalist Leonid Radzikhovsky and writer Viktor Shenderovich said in his Twitter chief editor of the radio station Alexei Venediktov.

According to him, we are talking about releases of the program “Special opinion” Opinion of 14 July and Shenderovich July 24.

In early July, Venediktov announced that the FSB had seized the correspondence of the editorial staff with the publicist Andrei Piontkovsky. Sources in the secret service then said that investigative actions in the editorial “echo of Moscow” were held in connection with the case of the article Piontkovsky “Bomb ready to explode”, in which the Prosecutor General’s office in February, found signs of extremism.

The FSB explained that the seizure of e-mails was carried out within investigation of criminal case on the fact of publication on the website of the article, which contained “calls for the implementation of the activities aimed at violation of territorial integrity of Russia”.

The case is being investigated on signs of the crime provided by article 280.1 (public appeals to implementation of actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation) and 282 (incitement of hatred or enmity, and humiliation of human dignity) of the criminal code of Russia.

He Piontkovsky in February left the country due to possible prosecution. The article is still available on the website, however, as mentioned earlier, that it does not contain the last two paragraphs, which has become a cause for complaint.

February 14, Venediktov said that the FSB requested a list of all the editors of the website of the radio station. He later said that “the Echo of Moscow has provided a list of all the editors of the website of the radio station.
