The Central election Commission considered the complaint filed by the initiative group for the referendum about the transition to direct elections of the head of Sevastopol. The CEC agreed that the regional electoral Commission made a legal decision, the correspondent reports from the meeting of the Commission.
“The complaint was, we replied. The CEC believes that the decision of the electoral Commission of Sevastopol pleasantly, taking into account regional and Federal law”, — said the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Nikolai Budaev to a journalist’s question, what is the decision of the Commission upon the complaint of the initiative group of the Sevastopol.
Bulaev added that when the regional law will be the norm to hold a referendum in Sevastopol, for refusing to hold a referendum no reason.
Supporters of former speaker of the legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly appealed to the CEC with a complaint against the decision of the Sevastopol electoral Commission.
