For the first six months of 2016 in Russia was recorded an increase in crime, said Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman, speaking at the semiannual Board of the Supervisory authority. According to him, the number of registered crimes increased by 3% and reached 1.18 million cases.
At the same time, as noted by Buksman, the number of economic crimes decreased by 2.1%.
In late April, Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika at a plenary session of the Federation Council said that in 2015 the level of crime, compared with 2014 increased by 9%, and in Bashkortostan, the Murmansk and Yaroslavl regions, the figure was 44%.
