From August 1 Russia imposed temporary restrictions on import of feeds and feed additives for animals, produced by enterprises of Ukraine. On Friday reported on the website of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
As reasons, the Department indicates “repeated detections of genetically modified ingredients in batches of unregistered feed.”
“In order to avoid falling into the territory of the Russian Federation unsafe in the veterinary and sanitary products since August 1, 2016 [Rosselkhoznadzor] imposes temporary restrictions on import of feeds and feed additives for animals, produced by enterprises of Ukraine”, — said the Rosselkhoznadzor.
Earlier on Friday, Ukraine announced the introduction of restrictions against 243 Russian companies are doing business with commercial entities beyond the control of Kiev territories of Donbass.
As reported, the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on its website, the Agency during the inspection found that the majority of these companies works with the Ukrainian partners and is not subject to imposed sanctions by Ukraine.
In early July the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko extended the embargo on the import of certain Russian goods to the end of 2017. Under the embargo are, in particular, the Russian meat, poultry, fish, vodka, beer, cigarettes, confectionery, baby food and animal feed.
The decision Poroshenko became a mirror response to the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, who extended the Russian food embargo for the same period, until 31 December 2017.
