An armed group seized the regiment of the patrol service in Yerevan, released two physicians who had been held hostage, the correspondent reported TASS with reference to the official representative of the Ministry of health of Armenia Anahit Haytayan.
According to her, the doctor Norayr Tevanyan and nurse Malin Margaret managed to get out of the occupied buildings, when they took out the wounded.
That the armed group took hostage arrived medics said on July 27, the head of the press service of the Yerevan police. It was about doctors in General Tevanyan and El Salvador Khechoyan, David Tanoan paramedic and nurse Malin Margaryan.
Tanoan was released on the first day, the day before Khechoyan.
The group emphasized that to speak about the hostages is unacceptable: the doctors will be able to leave when they will be replaced by another team.
Members of the “Sasna tsrer” (“Violent of Sasun” on the same medieval Armenian epic about the struggle of the heroes of Sasun with the Arab invasion) seized the territory of the regiment of the patrol service of the Yerevan district of Kentron on the morning of 17 July.
