The issue of coins has caused resentment on the part of the Lithuanian foreign Ministry. “The Lithuanian foreign Ministry knows and has paid attention to the issue of coins by the Central Bank of Russia. We have no doubt as to the role of the red Army and its place in the history of Lithuania,” said political Director of the Lithuanian foreign Ministry Rolandas, Kacinskas. “Russia’s position is known and the issue of the coin only confirms that Russia is not ready for the historical truth about the Soviet occupation,” he said.
