The DNR said the threat of a resumption of full hostilities

The possible resumption of full-scale hostilities in the Donbass self-proclaimed representative of the Donetsk national Republic (DND) in the contact group on conflict settlement Denis Pushilin said in an interview with “Izvestia”.

“The situation is growing worse by the day. No progress after the next negotiations for a political settlement there. The situation remains tense, any moment it can erupt and escalate into full-fledged clashes,” — said Pushilin. According to him, Ukraine is not fulfilling its obligations, neither in military nor in political sphere.

“Over the last five or six days the situation has escalated to the maximum. And if Ukraine does not comply with at least the first three paragraphs of the “Minsk-2″, in the Donbass will soon resume open clashes,” — said the representative of DND.

In the last three months in the conflict zone have become more frequent attacks, responsibility for which Kiev and self-proclaimed DND lay on each other. Both sides accuse the enemy refusing to abide by the Minsk agreement.

The press center of the military operation headquarters of the Ukrainian army on Thursday said that the militia 38 times fired at positions of the military. “From two o’clock the enemy resumed shelling of residential areas of settlements near Donetsk”, — stated in the message (quoted by “Interfax”). The chief of Donetsk regional management of National police of Ukraine Vyacheslav Abroskin reported that as a result of shelling militia of the settlement Avdeyevka damaged power lines. DNR defense Ministry denied this information. “This is another provocation. We have repeatedly stated that they comply with the Minsk agreement,” — said an anonymous representative of the Ministry (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

DNR representatives, in turn, said that the Ukrainian military shelled the district of Donetsk filtering station, damaging power lines. On the eve of the Donetsk news Agency reported security forces fired from heavy guns surrounding the city Yasinovataya.

The first three points are taken in February 2015 Minsk agreements involve a complete ceasefire in the Donbas, withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line both sides of the conflict, and ensure monitoring and verification of ceasefire and withdrawal of weapons by the OSCE.

Before the aggravation of the situation in the last two months in the Donbass, it was noted by the office of the UN high Commissioner for human rights. In July in the conflict zone continued to grow the number of casualties among the civilian population, stated in the United Nations. As stated in a press release from the office in July in the Donbas were killed and injured 73 people, which is twice more than in the period from September 2015 to may 2016, and the growth of victims among the civilian population is fixed for the second month in a row.
