Less than two weeks, the Turkish air force shot down a Russian su-27 in Syria, relations between the two countries was frozen, Russia imposed sanctions.
The meeting with Erdogan, as reported by the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters, is “extremely important”. Erdogan, he said, arrives in Russia “in spite of the tight political situation in Turkey.” “This shows that the Turkish partners are interested in the restoration of multifaceted partnerships with our side,” — said Ushakov.

“There will be discussed issues of resuming of the export of Turkish goods to Russia,” — said Ushakov.
