The number of victims of a terrorist attack during the wedding ceremony in Gaziantep in southern Turkey have become 22 people, 94 were injured, reports Reuters.
According to the Agency, the explosion occurred at a time when a large group of people took to the streets to celebrate the marriage. At this point, according to Vice-Premier of the Turkish government Mehmet Simsek, a female suicide bomber detonated an explosive device.
According to the Deputy of the Turkish Parliament from the Pro-Kurdish party Shamil Tayyar, the explosion was organized by militants of the “Islamic state” (banned in Russia as a terrorist organization).
Another member of the Turkish Parliament Mahmut Togrul said that the participants of the wedding ceremony was the Kurds, and the attack was directed against them.
Gaziantep close to the border with the Syrian province of Aleppo, where heavy fighting continues between Kurdish troops and is militants.
