The Kremlin considered a question about possible destabilization in Uzbekistan


In the Kremlin considered inappropriate formulation of the question about concerns of Moscow about the possible destabilization of the situation in Uzbekistan in the event of adverse outcome of the disease, the Uzbek President Islam Karimov. This statement was made by press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

“We believe such a question is incorrect” — Peskov said, answering a question of journalists, whether there is in the Kremlin, the concern that in the event of adverse outcome of the disease in Uzbekistan may destabilize (quoted by “Interfax”).

“We value our relations with Uzbekistan in line with the plans outlined in the recent contacts between the presidents of our countries”, — he added.

Peskov said that the Kremlin is deeply regretted illness of the President of Uzbekistan. “Of course, in Moscow I wish him a speedy recovery,” — said Peskov, noting that the Kremlin receives information about the disease Karimov from the media and through diplomatic channels. “Some knowledge on this matter we have,” added the spokesman.

Information about the illness of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov started coming in on Sunday. Then “Newspaper.uz” with reference to informational message of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the hospitalization of President Karimov.

Monday Karimov’s daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva on the page in Instagram and Facebook announced that the head of state is bleeding in the brain. She wrote that Islam Karimov admitted to hospital on Saturday morning because of the brain hemorrhage”. Now, in her words, Karimov is in the intensive care unit”. She added that “to make any predictions about its future status is still “early.”
