The Central court of Novosibirsk fined the activist of the “democratic coalition” Leonid Volkov on 30 thousand rbl. in the case of the scuffle with the journalist LifeNews. About this the activist said in his microblog on Twitter.
Originally Volkov was charged with impeding the legitimate professional activities of journalist with violence and damage to property (part 3 of article 144 of the criminal code).
As reported by “the Media”, judge Tatyana Petrov admitted the testimony of the correspondent of LifeNews Alexander Polubinski reliable, but also noted that there are “obstacles to journalistic work” during the incident with Volkov.
The incident that gave rise to the trial occurred during the election campaign of regional branch of PARNAS in Novosibirsk on 17 July 2015. According to investigators, when arrived in Novosibirsk Navalny, the building of the regional branch of the party led the opposition headquarters of the democratic coalition wolves prevented the video journalists of TV channel LifeNews.
In the case mentioned, that of wolves has damaged the microphone of the TV correspondent Alexander Potopalskogo and grabbed him by the hand.
