Reuters found out about the extension of the personal sanctions of the EU against Russia

On the extension of personal sanctions against Russian officials and politicians according to Reuters, citing diplomatic sources.

Restrictions on free movement within the European Union and the financial transaction is subject to approximately 150 people and 37 organizations. Their duration after the next extension expires on September 15.

The sanctions were imposed after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, which the international community has been regarded as illegal. They were reinforced after the outbreak of hostilities in Eastern Ukraine between the Ukrainian army and militias, which, according to Western diplomats, Russia supports. Moscow has always stressed that the militias have only a moral and humanitarian support.

The last time an individual, the sanctions were extended in early March. Among the persons to whom restrictions apply, were the speakers of the state Duma and the Federation Council Sergei Naryshkin and Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Kozak and Dmitry Rogozin, Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov, presidential adviser Sergey Glazyev, state Duma deputies Sergei Zheleznyak, Sergei Neverov, Joseph Kobzon and other policies. Also under the sanctions were such companies as Rosneft, Transneft and Gazprom Neft.
