The head of Sberbank German Gref, speaking at the “HSE Day” at the Higher school of Economics, said that a large number of decisions in the Bank are accepted “without human participation”, with the help of artificial intelligence. According to him, after five years, the number of accepted solutions automatically can reach 80%.
“We felt, if we compare the Bank and the savings Bank five years ago, approximately 50% of those decisions that was made by people, today, are accepted by the machines. And in five years we believe that we will be able to take about 80% of all decisions automatically using artificial intelligence,” — said Gref (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).
The head of Sberbank said that, in this case, these processes will occur “much more efficiently”. “This means that in our case, tens of thousands of people will lose their work”, — said Gref.
About upcoming technological changes in the work of the savings Bank Gref told this spring. The head of the Bank claimed that in 2017, the savings Bank will start to introduce technologies of face recognition and voice customers, which will help to completely abandon the use of plastic cards. Gref said that the introduction of new technologies, “banking will change dramatically.”
