President Vladimir Putin visited the polling station No. 2151 in the building of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Leninsky Prospekt, reports “RIA Novosti”.
He arrived at the station at 12:30, showed my passport, got two ballots and went to the voting booth. Lowered ballots in the ballot box, Putin, answering a journalist’s question how he plans to celebrate a single day of voting, said: “the work will go.”
He was also asked about the choice made. “I have for whom to vote. Don’t you know?” — said Putin.
The day before, answering a question of journalists whom he intended to vote in the state Duma, Putin urged not to promote the day of silence.
“Today is the day of silence, and I decided long ago, when we created the known political structure. So here is novelty of some kind there,” — said the President.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is voted before the President. On land located in the Shuvalov gymnasium on Dovzhenko street, he arrived together with his wife Svetlana. “I hope that everyone who attaches importance to participation in the electoral process, will come and vote, thereby contributing to the development of our political system,” — said the head of government.
